International Student Admission Policy
Solano Community College admits a limited number of international students each year. The College offers a wide variety of two-year degree programs in both academic and vocational fields. There are also a number of certificate programs where students can obtain specialized training in specific fields in a year or less.
How to Apply
Application for Admission
to the Office of Admissions and Records with the other required documents
by the filing deadline. Application deadlines are as follows:
Eligible applicants will receive a letter
of acceptance and an I-20. The I-20 can be taken to the American
Consulate to obtain a student visa. The I-20 will be sent directly
to the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services if the applicant is already a
student attending a school in the United States. Note:
Students who are only planning to take online courses are not required to
follow this process. An

International students must meet the following minimum admission requirements to be accepted to Solano Community College.

International students are required to pay non-resident tuition as well as
enrollment fees. Registration fees are payable at the time of
registration. The non-resident tuition is subject to change by the
International students applying for
admission must guarantee that they have funds available to cover one year
of necessary educational and living expenses. Scholarships,
financial aid and loans are NOT available to International Students.
Minimum Progress Requirements
International students are required to complete a minimum of 12 units each semester. The International Student Advisor must approve class schedules prior to enrollment. Students who do not fulfill these requirements are out of status and subject to deportation by the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services.
Solano Community College is located in a rural area, five miles from the nearest community. Public transportation is provided from both Fairfield and Vallejo. Solano Community College does not have campus dormitories or housing available. Students must make arrangements for their housing and transportation to the College. The Student Development Office provides information on rental housing throughout the county.
