School of Human Performance and DevelopmentWelcome to the School of Human Performance & Development at Solano College.
Our programs include Physical Education, Sports Medicine/Fitness Science, Early Childhood Education, Human Development, Health Education, Nutrition and Intercollegiate Athletics. We offer an Associate of Arts degree in Physical Education and an Associate of Science degree in Sports Medicine/Fitness Science. The Sports/Medicine Fitness Science degrees include a transfer component which prepares students for transfer to four-year institutions after completing their two-year degree.
Our Intercollegiate Athletics program offers the following: Menís Football, Men and Womenís Water Polo, Womenís Volleyball, Menís Basketball, Womenís Basketball, Menís Baseball, Womenís Softball, Men and Womenís Swimming, Womenís Soccer, Menís Diving and Womenís Diving.
The Early Childhood Education program prepares students to meet the new and stringent demands of todayís child care centers, pre-school programs, and nursery schools. A Certificate of Achievement and an Associate in Science Degree are offered in this discipline. Human Development, Nutrition and Psychology courses are part of this curriculum.
